Your donations go directly to purchasing items that we distribute to outreach

Food items

We try to make sandwiches for every outreach and provide healthy snacks such as bananas, mandarin oranges, chips or string cheese. Your donation could go to alleviating volunteers needing to purchase these items out of pocket.

Hygiene kits

Hygiene kits have become a staple of our outreach. They generally contain soap, a shaving razor, shampoo, toilet paper, wet wipes, a disposable mask, a comb, a toothbrush and toothpaste. Your donation allows us to purchase the materials for these kits so they can be assembled.

Accessories and gear

Donations allow us to purchase fresh socks, undergarments or t-shirts for our unhoused neighbors. In the colder season, funds can help us purchase cold weather gear such as gloves, beanies, blankets and sleeping bags.

Item Donation Guidelines

Desired Items

We will happily take the following donations:

  • Gently used or new jackets and coats

  • Sleeping bags

  • Tents

  • New packs of underwear (men's or women's)

  • New packs of socks

  • Wet wipes

  • Blankets

Items to avoid

The following items are not useful for our unhoused neighbors and/or are costly of our volunteers' free time to sort through

  • Items with large holes, tears or stains

  • Clothing made of delicate material such as silk, chiffon or lace

  • Slacks

  • Dress shoes such as oxfords, heels, loafers, etc.

  • Full size hygiene products (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, body wash)

    • We put together hygiene kits regularly which are a popular item at outreach. Several or a few of small sized hygiene products are better for our system of assembly and distribution than full size products
